Introduction

Do you think one tool outperforms all others in generating images with AI?

This experiment might completely change your mind.

‫‬

At the beginning of 2026, I decided to conduct a simple yet revealing experiment:

Using the exact same prompt on five different AI image generation tools, then comparing the results without bias.

‫‬

The goal was not entertainment, but to answer a very practical question:

‫‬

Which tool actually produces images suitable for articles, thumbnails, and professional content?

‫‬

The tools that were tested

‫‬

Five popular tools in the field of image generation were used:

‫‬

  • Leonardo AI

  • Ideogram

  • Sora

  • ChatGPT

  • Gemini Nano Banana

‫‬

All of them received the exact same prompt, without any modifications.

‫‬

The prompt: the true weapon of the experiment

‫‬

To ensure fairness, a single prompt was designed to test essential elements needed by any content creator:

‫‬

  • A clear home office background

  • A realistically looking human character

  • Text written over the image

  • A secondary technical element (robot)

  • A clear frontal angle

  • Natural lighting and visual depth

‫‬

The prompt was not handwritten, but generated via Claude to ensure professionalism and neutrality.

‫‬

And here is a very important point:

‫‬

Image quality does not only depend on the tool, but on how well it 'understands' the prompt and adheres to it.

‫‬

Realistic observations after comparison

‫‬

After examining the resulting images, profound differences emerged that cannot be ignored:

‫‬

Nano Banana

‫‬

  • The most realistic in the features of the human character.

  • He succeeded in clearly separating the text from the face.

‫‬

However, he exaggerated in the 'interpretation':

‫‬

  • He ignored the condition of no logo on the laptop.

  • He added unnecessary elements.

  • He showed bias towards previous contexts.

‫‬

Ideogram

‫‬

  • The worst part of this experience.

‫‬

He ignored basic details such as:

‫‬

  • The rimless glasses.

  • The clean shave.

  • The text is almost unreadable.

  • The labels are completely unclear.

‫‬

Leonardo AI

‫‬

  • A good initial result.

‫‬

But:

‫‬

  • The robot is unconvincing.

  • The background does not match the description.

  • Some basic details were not respected.

‫‬

Sora and ChatGPT

‫‬

  • Very noticeable similarity in the results.

  • A logical explanation: both rely on OpenAI models.

  • The distribution of elements is similar.

  • Adherence to the prompt is higher than the other tools.

‫‬

But…

‫‬

  • ChatGPT excelled by a small margin.

  • Better lighting.

  • Realistic supporting elements (watch, coffee cup, books).

  • The text is clearer and more usable.

  • The image is 'ready for publication' without additional edits.

The final verdict.

‫‬

If an image is required:

‫‬

  • Immediately usable.

  • Suitable for articles and thumbnails.

  • Accurately respects the prompt.

‫‬

The winner is: ChatGPT 🏆

‫‬

Not because it is the most creative, but because it is the most disciplined and professional.

‫‬

The most important lesson from the experience.

‫‬

This comparison reveals a fundamental truth in 2026:

‫‬

AI tools do not fail…

But they explain in their own way.

‫‬

The best tool is not the one that 'creates more',

but the one that understands what you want and commits to it.

‫‬

For this reason, the smart content creator does not look for the 'strongest tool',

but for the tool that is right for their context.
