The Introduction

"Artificial intelligence won't take your job. But the designer who knows how to use it might."

‫‬

This sentence changed the way I think.

I didn't enter the AI field out of fear, but out of curiosity. Can it help me write better UX copy? Shorten research time? Open new angles for creativity?

‫‬

The result?

Not only did it change my work as a designer. It changed my entire thinking about design.

🛠️ Where does artificial intelligence fit into UX work?

‫‬

I divided my workflow into 5 main stages, and in each stage, artificial intelligence became a work colleague:

‫‬

1. Research

‫‬

  • ChatGPT for analysing user interviews and extracting patterns.

‫‬

  • Perplexity for deep searching for existing market solutions.

‫‬

  • UserPersona.dev for quickly building initial personas.

‫‬

2. Ideation

‫‬

  • ChatGPT acts like a senior designer proposing flows and solutions.

‫‬

  • Midjourney for visual inspiration, layouts, and colours.

‫‬

  • Notion AI for playing with UX writing and feature names.

‫‬

3. Wireframing & Prototyping

‫‬

  • Galileo AI and Uizard turn my ideas into wireframes in real-time.

‫‬

  • Figma + Genius UI plugin for generating components and suggesting layouts.

‫‬

4. UI & Assets

‫‬

  • DALL·E and Adobe Firefly for generating icons and graphics that match the project.

‫‬

  • Runway for creating animation backgrounds.

‫‬

  • Khroma for building smart colour palettes.

‫‬

5. Testing & Feedback

‫‬

  • Maze and Useberry for usability testing.

‫‬

  • Hotjar AI for intelligently analysing heatmaps and session recordings.

💡 Bonus: Clearer communication with stakeholders.

  • ChatGPT to turn a complex design decision into a 3-point summary.

  • Notion AI and Tome to turn random notes into a Case Study or a tidy Deck.

🚀 Summary

Artificial intelligence is not a trend. It isa daily work tool..

It doesn't replace you… but it boosts your productivity and makes you a faster, clearer designer, and closer to your team and clients.

Start small:

  • Use it for research.

  • Try it for writing copy.

  • Let it streamline your repetitive tasks.

Over time, you'll discover that you're not just designing smartly… you areredesigning your design process..
